Forever Phoebe

 Forever Phoebe
By Chalon Linton

Phoebe Jameson is a fiery red head who can be real stubborn. She if fiercely loyal to her friends and family. She has been in love with her brothers friend Mr. Mason. But Mr. Mason has only ever seen her as his friends little sister. But then she starts to notice another Mr. Everly and how he treats her. Who will she chose?

Franklin Everly is new in the neighborhood. He he has come to look into the estate that he has inherited. The Jameson's has been very helpful in him being able to find the needed staff for his home. He has formed a friendship with the Jameson brothers but the more he spends time with Phoebe he is drawn to her.

This one was such a fun story to listen too. It has it's mystery, romance, and adventure.

I listened to this story out of order. Chiara's Choice is the second book. They can be read as stand alone books but it I recommended reading this one first and it brings up parts of this book in Chiara's Choice. I came back and listened to this one so that I was able to pick up on what I missed out on.

I listened to this story on Deseret Bookshelf.

I'm not Charlotte Lucas

 I'm not Charlotte Lucas
by Kasey Stockton

This one was such a fun one to listen too. I have been doing lots of driving lately and are making it through lots of audio books. No complaint here (well about the audio books) the driving is tiring.

Charlotte Lucas (Charlie) has not had the greatest luck in the dating game. Then she gets setup with her neighbors grandson to help him out at a charity event. Little does Charlie know but she has already met said grandson and he is gorgeous. She feels so out of his league.

Liam has just gotten out of a relationship with a beautiful actress. His grandma sets him up with a date for his fundraiser event for his charity.

They both went into the charity event thinking it was a blind date but in all reality they had met already. They both came to see that they were better together and that first impressions aren't always  who that person maybe.

I listened to this one on Deseret Bookshelf.

Healing Hearts

 Healing Hearts
by Sarah M. Eden

It was so fun to be able to have all the same characters that we fell in love with from The Sheriffs of Savage Wells still be in this book.

Gideon is the town doctor of Savage Wells. He hasn't been very lucky in love. He has many failed engagements and has decided he is going to send away for a mail order bride. He wants someone that will also be able to help him in his medical practice.

Miriam is running from her past and has accepted the position to be a nurse in Savage Wells. But when she arrives she is whisked into the church to be married. She only thought she was coming for a job.

This story was so much fun to listen to. The narrator did a really great job and helping you to feel the emotions of all the characters. It was great to see how Gideon and Miriam were able to finally figure out the misunderstanding and to be able to work together to serve the people of Savage Wells and the surrounding towns.

When the book ended it just left you wanting more. To hear more of the story and to continue to see how things turn out in the future.

I listened to this one on Deseret Bookshelf.

"All of us are broken in some way, Miriam. How we respond to our troubles, the strength we show in our trials, is far more telling than any imperfection."

Chiara's Choice

 Chiara's Choice
by Chalon Linton

Chiara's is tired of being told what she has to do. Always feeling like she isn't important and that her life is planned out for her. She likes to take charge and tries to make things go the way that she wants. She is assertive and bold. She wants the freedom to make decisions for herself and sometimes can be very off putting.

Abraham is the not the first born son. He hasn't been able to decide what his occupation is going to be. He doesn't like being told what to do and doesn't love how bold Chiara is. But overtime Abraham comes to know the real person and how caring she truly is.

I loved this story so much. It isn't like your typical book and was so engaging. I listened to this one on Deseret Bookshelf. This book was refreshing as it isn't like the other books that I have read in this genre. It was such a fun one to listen too and I really had a hard time stopping listening to it. Thankfully I have been doing lots of driving lately and so I was able to spend lots of time listening to this fun story.

This is a standalone story. But there is another Forever, Phoebe that I am now wanting to read as the characters are in this story as well.

The Sheriffs of Savage Wells

 The Sheriffs of Savage Wells
by Sarah M. Eden

I have read this story before but decided to listen to it again as a refresher before reading the next two books. This was such a fun one to listen to. I listened to it on the Deseret Bookshelf.

This is such a fun story. I love that she wrote Paisley as a strong independent lady. She has been through so much in her life that she has had to learn how to take care of herself and that she really doesn't mind what others think of her. Paisley had worked as the acting Sherriff for months before they sent for another. She really wants the opportunity to prove that she is good at the job.

Cade has come to town for the sheriff job but didn't think that it would become a competition. He especially didn't expect a woman to be in the running. Cade is a well known law man that has a reputation to proceed him. But now he is looking to settle down and be in a peaceful place.

I loved this story so much. Listening to it made the banter between Paisley and Cade so much fun. It was hard not to fall in love with all the towns folk either.

The Queen and the Knave

 The Queen and the Knave
By Sarah M. Eden

I was lucky enough to be able to receive an advance reader copy of this book. This series I feel like each book gets better and better. Even harder to put the book down.

Have you ever read a book that you don't know how you got to the end of it so quickly? but then when you do get it finished you wish you had more to read? That is how I felt on this book.

What I loved about this book:

📖 others stepping up and watching out for others
📖 I also really love the short stories intertwined in the book
📖 learning that you don’t have to do everything by yourself. You can rely on others
📖 that all the characters that you fell in love with in the other books are still apart of this book

 What Dreams May Come
by Dana LeCheminant

Lucy has taken a post as a governess with a new family to try and escape the attention of the brother of her last employer. But things change when she is on the way to her new position. The plans don't work out like she thought. Now she is engaged to an unconscious man and living at his family's home.

Simon hasn't seen his brother in years and now he has arrived home sick and unconscious. But also returns with a fiancé. Simon has his doubts about the whole situation. He also maybe starting to fall in love with his brother's supposed fiancé.

This story kind of reminded me of the movie While you were sleeping. Which is one of my favorite movies. I listened to this on the Deseret Bookshelf.

A Heart Worth Stealing

 A Heart Worth Stealing
by Joanna Barker

From the back of the book: Miss Genevieve Wilde―a magistrate’s daughter and independent heiress―is determined to meet life’s challenges all on her own, just as her late father had taught her. So when her father’s pocket watch is stolen, she will do anything to get it back, especially when the local authorities prove incompetent.

Upon reading an advertisement in the paper, she takes a chance and contacts a thief-taker to find the watch. It’s a choice Ginny regrets when former Bow Street officer Jack Travers arrives on her doorstep. He is frustratingly flirtatious, irritatingly handsome, and entirely unpredictable, and Ginny wonders if she’ll be able to resist such a man.

But after Ginny discovers that the missing watch is just a small part of a larger, more frightening plot against her, she needs Jack’s help more than ever. To protect her home and her reputation, the two enter into a risky charade―pretending Jack is her cousin so he can begin his investigation, starting with the household staff. As they work together to unravel the mystery, Ginny finds herself falling fast for her charismatic thief-taker, leaving her heart in just as much danger as her life.

This book was so much fun to listen to. I just wanted to keep listening and find out what was going to happen. The banter between Genevieve and Jack was so much fun.

It's a great reminder to not judge people by first impressions or appearances. Also, a job title doesn't determine how the person acts or what time of person they are.

Fleur de Lis

 Fleur de Lis
by Sarah M. Eden

Each new book that comes out about the gents just makes me fall in love with them so much more. It has been so much fun to see all the mischief that the gents get into and how extremely loyal they are to those that they invite into their circle.

I have always loved Julia in the Jonquil brother's series, but it has been so nice to get to know her better and also to learn more about Lucas and see how fun they are together.

Henri Fortier has made England his home. His brother continually cutting his funds and making it difficult to keep living in England. He also had a lover jolt him. He has been invited to a house party that includes that lady.

Nicolette has a secret that she has to keep hidden. Not only for her life but those she loves. She has traveled to England for a house party but really has alternative reasons for being there. She has a work that needs to be done.

Henri is so confused during the party as to why Nicolette is acting as if nothing had happened between them. During the course of the party, they both come to learn what each thought had happened, and Nicolette is able to find those to support her in her work. Learning that nothing has to be done all alone.

Meriden Park

 Meriden Park
by Julie Daines

Do you love Robin Hood retellings? I have really gotten into them lately. But Julie does such a fun retelling. I listened to this one on Deseret Bookshelf. The narrator was so much fun to listen to and she really made the story come alive.

Mary Grace is of mixed race and was left when she was young by her parents in India. She was taken in by a kind woman who found her. Now that she is grown and the woman's husband has passed away, they have come back to England.

Robert Markam has a chance encounter with Mary Grace in the market and he is very intrigued by him. But Mary Grace has some doubts as to he really is and wonders if he may be tied up in the mysteries deaths of several people.

Mary Grace needs to decide how she feels about Robert and if he is fully being honest with her.

I listened to this story on the Deseret Bookshelf.

An Uncharted Devotion

 An Uncharted Devotion
by Amanda Taylor

Sarah married James shortly before he left for the war. But he has been away for five years and returns a much different man then the one she married.

James is trying to adjust to a new way of life. His brother has died, and he has become the Lord of his family home. He is trying to cope with the things he has experienced during the war.

Now that they are back together, they need to figure out how to interact and to include each other in their lives. They need to find their new normal.

This book was so much fun to listen to. It was really hard to stop listening. I really just wanted to listen all the time and found different ways that I could just keep listening. I wanted to find out what happens.

Amanda has written such a fun and engaging story. I am excited to see what else she has written and be able to read more of them.

I listened to this one on the Deseret Bookshelf. It was read by Noah Wall.
