Leap of Faith

 Leap of Faith
by Elizabeth John

This was the first book by Elizabeth Johns that I have read. I feel like it was a great one to be introduced to her and plan on reading more. This story was so fun. Full of twists, turns and the unexpected.

Faith and her four sisters are use to taking care of themselves. When their guardian passes away they are surprised to learn that they have a new one in her place. Not knowing what to expect or that they would be leaving their beloved Bath. They allow themselves to be introduced into society and become the crush of the balls.

Lord Westwood was living his best life. Flirting with the ladies but not ready to fully commit to one person. Then he learns that he has not only one but five wards that he is in charge of. He decides that it would be fun to help launch them in society and to find matches for them.

With the help of his friends and mother they are able to launch this sisters into society and get help from unexpected people along the way. I am so excited to read the other books in the series when they come out.

The Fall back plan

 The Fall Back Plan
by Melanie Jacobson

I am loving this  Sweater Weather Series. Especially as we are finally getting cooler weather where I am so curling up and reading a great book is a must.

It has introduced me to some authors that I haven't read before. Which now has made my TBR pile just that much bigger. But who doesn't love reading about a small town in the fall?

The Fall back Plan is an enemies to lover story. Jolie had a tough life growing up and really didn't feel like she belonged anywhere in Harvest Hollow. So she jumped at the chance to get out of town and make something of herself. She has returned and plans on making those who treated her wrong. Including Lucas Cole.

Lucas has grown up and stayed in Harvest Hollow. Now the Sheriff and the guardian of his niece he really hasn't had much time for dating. But now that Jolie is back he is interested in dating again.

It was so fun to read this story and see how they truly misunderstood each other and find that they really do have a place with each other.

Just Don't Fall

 Just Don't Fall
by: Emma St. Clair

This book was so much fun to read. It was full of so much humor and funny quotes. Parker and Logan had been friends since they were younger. Parker always had a crush on Logan. Then one day Logan up and left her and her brother with no explanation. But now he is back playing hockey for the minors.

Fake dating, almost kiss, surprising first kiss, hockey and small town charm. I stayed up much later then I should have finishing this book last night. But I just couldn’t put it down. I had to find out how it ended.

This book is part of a multi author series. This is book 1 in the series. So excited to dive into the rest of the books.

Marmee

 Marmee
by: Sarah Miller

From AmazonIn 1861, war is raging in the South, but in Concord, Massachusetts, Margaret March has her own battles to fight. With her husband serving as an army chaplain, the comfort and security of Margaret’s four daughters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—now rest on her shoulders alone. Money is tight and every month, her husband sends less and less of his salary with no explanation. Worst of all, Margaret harbors the secret that these financial hardships are largely her fault, thanks to a disastrous mistake made over a decade ago which wiped out her family’s fortune and snatched away her daughters’ chances for the education they deserve.

Yet even with all that weighs upon her, Margaret longs to do more—for the war effort, for the poor, for the cause of abolition, and most of all, for her daughters. Living by her watchwords, “Hope and keep busy,” she fills her days with humdrum charity work to keep her worries at bay. All of that is interrupted when Margaret receives a telegram from the War Department, summoning her to her husband’s bedside in Washington, D.C. While she is away, her daughter Beth falls dangerously ill, forcing Margaret to confront the possibility that the price of her own generosity toward others may be her daughter’s life.

A stunning portrait of the paragon of virtue known as Marmee, a wife left behind, a mother pushed to the brink, a woman with secrets.

This book was the story of Little Women from Marmee's perspective. I will admit I haven't actually read or listened to Little Women. But the Susan Sarandon version of Little Women has been my all time favorite and I have watched it multiple times. So many times as I listened to this story I would have scenes from the movie playing out in my head.

Marmee has always been one of my favorites from the movie. It was nice to be able to kind of get to know her little better and to learn more about her and her life. It really helped me to love the story even more. I do plan on listening to Little Women in the future.

I listened to this story on audible. Kirsten Potter narrated this story and she really made you fall in love with all the characters.
