The Dreaming Beauty

 The Dreaming Beauty
By Anneka R. Walker

This book was such a fun listen too. I got so caught up in the story today that I just listened to it all day. I was just wanting to find out what happened and what conclusion it was going to come to. I felt like you were starting to figure out one result but then it would add another twist and keep you guessing.

This book had a little bit of the feeling of a Sleeping Beauty story, with mystery and intrigue. Had so many twist and turns that you weren’t sure how it was going to end.

This story does have a connection to her book The Masked Baron but can be read as a stand alone.

Beyonders: Seeds of Rebellion

 Beyonders: Seeds of Rebellion
By: Brandon Mull

One thing my my husband and I looked is listening to audio books while we drive anywhere.

We have already listened to Fablehaven and loved it as well. We now have started this fabulous series. The story is so fun and so catchy. This book ended and it made me so happy that we had the next book already.

I feel like this one really left us on a cliffhanger and wanting to know what was going to happen.

Stressie Tressie

Stressie Tressie
by: L.M. Lemmons
Illustrated by: Guilherme Solomon

This sweet children’s book was written to help those children out who may feel stressed out and overwhelmed. My not know how to voice what they are feel or how to harness their emotions.

Stressie Tressie is a little girl who has those feelings. She encounters a capybara who helps her to find some suggestions of what may help her when stressed out.

I loved this story. The rhyming words and the message that it shares. It’s so important to help children find healthy ways to help them when stressed or even sharing those emotions in a helpful way.

This is T.M Lemmons debut book and she has plans to make this into a series. T.M and I were roommates what feels like a lifetime ago. So excited for her!

The Blue Castle

 The Blue Castle
By L.M.  Montgomery

I am part of a book club and this is the book for this month. I have only known this author for Anne of Green Gables. So it was fun to dive into another character by her. I loved this book so much.

Vlancy was so much fun. It was fun to see her really come to find herself and to realize there was a much bigger world out there. I feel like because her family was quick to judge and she didn’t like how she was made to feel made it so that she was more into not judging those around her by appearances. Even by the rumors that were told about them.

Northanger Abbey

 Northanger Abbey
By Jane Austen

Hello friends! I know I have not posted on here in a while. I got into a weird reading slump and hardly read at the end of last year.

But this year I am planning on reading books from @hayleysolano The Enchanted Book Club and adding some others in there as well.

This month we are reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. I have heard of this one but knew nothing of the story. But I loved this one so much. I listened to it on audible and listened to it in two days.

Their were characters such as Catherine and Eleanore that you can easily fall in love with and others such as Mr Thorpe that makes you cringe every time you hear him speak.

“I know I require a wife,” he answered at last. “But my need to settle someone as mistress of Boden House is too urgent to have that woman be her. I can’t choose a wife like I choose a horse.”

This was such a fun read. I loved reading Honoria and Phillips story. It just goes to show that you can’t control who you fall in love with or that your parents can control who you marry.

Sometimes love happens without you truly realizing it has happened. Then one day you open your eyes and realize what has been in front of you the whole time.
