To Bluff a Bride
by Kate Condie
Release date: January 31, 2023
I haven't read a book in a long time where I just couldn't put it down. I started this book just before bed and had to force myself to put it down. I do not do well on little sleep. So I did end up going to bed later then I should have. The next morning I continued reading this story. I just couldn't put it down and ended up finishing it in less than 24 hours.
Ellen lost her husband in an accident while heading out west. She returns home to find that her brother in law will stop at nothing to make her his. So she hatches a plan. Convince Ben , who she met on the trail to pretend to be her husband. Then she can figure out what to do once she makes it out west. What could possibly go wrong?
I loved Ben and Ellen's story. They are meant for each other. As I read this book I was reminded a little of the Seven Brides for Seven brothers. The family that sticks together and watches out for those of the family. Highly recommend this book!
This one is book two in the Bridger Brother series. They can be read as stand alone. I am excited to be able to read the rest of the books when they come out and need to go back and read the first one.
