A Treacherous Engagement

 A Treacherous Engagement
by Laura Beers

This book was so much fun to read. Full of lots of twists and turns and you I couldn't ever really predict what was going to happen.

Dinah. Fiercely loyal, loving, stubborn, take matters into her own hands. Nathaniel who lives a double life and has to keep things secret to protect those he loves and who he truly is.

Dinah's sister has gone missing. The constable isn't much help at all. So Dinah takes things into her own hands and hires a bow street runner. She works with Nathaniel to try and find her sister. She starts to have feelings for him but she can't marry a bow street runner.

Nathaniel is has a secret that not even his family knows about. He gets mistaken for a bow street runner and accepts the job. Dinah frustrates him as she does the exact opposite of what he tells her to do.

The Flight Girls

 The Flight Girls
By Noelle Salazar

This one was such a fun one to listen to. I really wasn't aware of the women that were flying during world war II, so to be able to hear about the war from their perspective and all that they were doing to help the war effort was really fun.

Within the last couple of years I have really gotten into reading more books that deal with history. My dad has always loved them but I hadn't ever really gotten into them. But I have loved starting with World War II and to hear all the good that was going on.

The narrator did such a great job of making the story come to life. Making you feel like you are there in the cockpit with them.
I listened to this one on audible.

Can't Help Falling

 Can't Help Falling
Courtney Walsh

This is my first book that I have read by Courtney. This sweater weather series is so much fun. I love reading all the books set in Harvest Hallow.

description from Amazon:

Sometimes all it takes to start a fire is a single match. . .

Owen Larrabee is not my soulmate.

He wasn't when I confessed my love to him on his wedding day, and he isn't now. I should probably say that I wasn't the bride when that happened. I don't have the best timing.

He’s got a temper, he's moody, and he has a history of being misunderstood and making big mistakes.

I, on the other hand, make pumpkin cupcakes, spend my Friday nights curled up with a beloved romance novel and long to be kissed in the rain.

Owen is my best friend’s older, off-limits brother and the only boy I ever thought I loved. Which is laughable because he only ever saw me as his kid sister’s dorky friend.

But that was a long time ago. And I’m over him.

Mostly.

Until he comes back to Harvest Hollow like some kind of hero, showing up just in time to pull me out of my burning house and make me feel all the things I told myself I’d never feel again.

But I have questions. Why is Owen back? And does he remember our secret friendship or the day I’ve spent the last eight years trying to forget?

I know better than to get hung up on Owen again. Especially now, when he’s sworn off relationships and thinks romance is a farce. And I’m something of an expert—at least to the people who listen to my podcast, The Hopeful Romantic.

Never mind that nobody would guess their local bookshop owner is the one doling out popular weekly relationship advice.

Never mind that I’m basing all that advice on the hundreds, (thousands?) of romance novels I’ve read over the years and not on personal experience.

And especially never mind that Owen is making me question everything I believe about all of it.

This book totally pulled me in from the beginning. Friends to lover story. Long time lovers but one didn't realize it until more recently.

Rockabye Mama

The world is in need of more positive and uplifting children's stories. We need wholesome and clean books. Not ones full of propaganda and the stresses of the world. We need to let kids continue to be little. To see the world in their eyes. See the joys and the sorrows.  I am so thankful that my friend is doing that. She is publishing books that are simple and easy for kids to understand.

If you are looking for a good clean and family friendly story then this is one you should look up and get for your family.
