There Goes the Groom
By Esther Hatch
Sorry if it is a little blurry. For some reason when I downloaded the book in kindle the title page didn't show up. So I got the image from on Goodreads.
"Ye seem to think a kiss might make it more difficult to get married, but what if ye don't even enjoy kissing me? Or I don't enjoy kissing you?" He snorted, as if she had said the most preposterous thing he had ever heard. "You are being ridiculous right now. Of course I would enjoy kiss you. And my fiancée would never agree to such reasoning."
Lucy is betrothed to a man that she has never met. But due to some chance encounter with her younger sister acting as her, he has up and disappeared. Lucy had then been living with her mother in law to be for three years.
But then one day Lucy happens to come in contact with him in a town close to where they live. She then decides to pretend to be someone else so that she can get to know him and find out why he disappeared. Along the way they are able to open up to each other and to tell each other who they really are and to be able to find their happily ever after.
This book was so much fun to read and to see all the mischief they got into. This book is part of a series "A Romance of Rank" this is a novella in the series. The first book in the series (which also was so much fun to read is "Manor for Sale, Baron Included".
This book was part of a multi author novella release that happened on April 1st.
