I am going to start a Favorite Friday where I will be sharing books that I have read in the past. I know lately I read books that haven't come out yet and review them but I still have those go to books that I love to read.
The book to start of is Hearts in Hiding by Betsy Brannon Green. This one is part of the Haggerty Mystery Series.
I first got introduced to this books by one of my neighbors. I would borrow books from them as I was reading so many. I fell in love with this book and it has been one of my favorites for a long time.
Kate is working and living in Chicago. She is married to FBI agent Tony Singleton and also expecting a baby with him. He has been away on assignment and she hasn't heard from him in a while when she learns that he has been murdered. The same people who murdered her husband are after her.
So now the FBI is sending her into hiding with a new name, new city and a new Husband. They are moved to the small city of Haggerty, Georgia. Her new husband who is an FBI agent but his new assignment is to protect her and work as police chief in Haggerty.
I love this story so much. The characters in this book are so nosy and loveable at the same time. In Haggerty everyone knows everyone's business and basically walks into everyone's houses without knocking. I enjoy mystery books that aren't too intense and scary. This series is just enough suspense without being scary.
Other Books in the Haggerty Series:
Until Proven Guilty
Above Suspicion
Silenced
Copycat
Poison
Double Cross
